Koishiwara-yaki has been a kiln where local farmers primarily produce everyday kitchenware needed in the area. Without leaning towards superficial forms or special techniques, the kiln focuses on faithfully creating practical items, refining the inherited and well-practiced techniques. Even in today's era, they are committed to keeping these principles in mind.

Ota Tetsuzo Kiln is a Koishiwara ware kiln located in Toho Village, Asakura County, Fukuoka Prefecture.

Koishiwara is a kiln that has mainly produced everyday kitchen utensils needed by the surrounding farmers. Rather than leaning towards surface design or special techniques, they aim to create products that are faithful to their intended purpose while refining the techniques they have handed down through the generations. Even in today's times, they keep these principles in mind when they work.

These vessels are created through repeated handwork every day.
